One of poker’s most recognizable stars for over a decade, Vanessa Rousso, recently revealed she’ll be venturing back into the poker world.
The former PokerStars pro and ‘Big Brother’ reality TV star, made the announcement in response to fans commenting on a post she shared on Instagram, explaining her absence from social media.
“Howdy ‘gram. 🤠 I have been through a ton over the last year or so…which is why I stopped posting with consistency….because I was going throughhhhh it….but lately I am edging up to what is starting to feel like the best part of change and transformation: when things start to make sense (finally)…when my footing feels more sure…when I feel recentered and like I have come back to myself in a way (and I always did love a nice hat!). Maybe some of you can relate…”
“Well no matter what you are going through…you look fab-u-lous!! So there is that!! ❤️” one adoring fan responded.
“Do you still play poker?” another asked.
“I do and I will be playing even more in the near future!! 🙌🏻” she replied.
While Rousso didn’t give too many details, she did announce plans to play next year’s World Series of Poker.
When poker fan ‘kweenskracked’ asked, “Does that mean we will see you at wsop next year??”
Rousso confirmed, “yes! 🙌🏻”
“this is the best news. The poker world has missed you!” another replied.
Longtime friend and one of poker’s most beloved stars, Maria Ho, commented, “Glad to hear that! Welcome back! 💗”
Despite minimal activity in the poker world for nearly a decade, we ranked Rousso #4 on our all-time ‘Top 10 Female Poker Pros‘ list last year.
Since then, Ho overtook Rousso (on our list), after her deep run in Paradise Bahamas, and Kristen Foxen solidified herself as the #1 female (tournament) poker player of all time, and one of the best players in the world.
