Tampa Seminole Hard Rock Casino evacuated after explosive device found in restroom

The Seminole Hard Rock Casino in Tampa was partially evacuated after an explosive device was discovered in the men’s restroom Sunday night.

According to police, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office Bomb Disposal Team removed the “suspicious” device, that had “firework components.”

Another device was found in another restroom on the property on Monday, leading to an additional evacuation.

No injuries were reported.

The FBI was brought in to assist in the ongoing investigation.

The SHR Signature Poker Series Main Event was underway at the time (September 27 – Oct 1). It’s not clear if the event was interrupted.
