Ruman Meman from Pensacola, FL was declared the winner of the 2024 Beau Rivage ‘Heater’ Main Event after the final four players agreed to a deal. He took home $196,682, bringing his career earnings to $950,102 (according to the Hendon Mob poker database). In June 2023, Meman had his largest tournament cash when he finished 2nd in the $3,500 Wynn Summer Classic for $700,000.
The $1M GTD Heater Main Event drew 1,490 entrants, generating a prize pool of $1,564,500. Will Leffingwell from Houston, Texas finished runner-up, good for $183,455. Mark Rose from Orlando, Florida took home $159,998 for 3rd place and John Dolan pocketed $152,142 for 4th.
In an interview with Gulf Coast Poker.Net Beau Rivage’s poker room manager Adam Nash thanked everyone for the huge turnout: “I’m extremely grateful for each person who chose to kick off 2024 at the Beau Rivage Heater! The record-breaking turnout showed that Poker is alive and well on the Gulf Coast.”
The 12-event tournament series drew over 11,000 total entries and generated over $4,750,000 in prize pools.
