Five months ago we announced Vanessa Rousso was making plans to re-enter the poker world, and today on an Instagram post she confirmed she’s done just that.
“Back at the poker tables for the first time in 8 years last night @hardrockholly and wow—I didn’t realize just how much I missed it! New chapter, same game…and yeah, she’s still got it. 🃏🔥 You can take the girl out of poker, but you can’t take the poker out of the girl.”
With Rousso’s announcement on the heels of Liv Boeree’s recent deep run in Paradise Bahamas, Selbst playing more events, and mainstay Maria Ho (@MariaHo) continuing to make strides, every member of the “Fab 4” is back in action!
Who will end up on top?
Since we announced our original list of “Top 10 Female Poker Pros” in May 2023, there’s been quite a bit of movement.
Kristen Foxen (@krissyb24poker) overtook Vanessa Selbst (@VanessaSelbst) for top spot, while Liv Boeree (@Liv_Boeree) moved into 4th position following her deep run in the 2024 @WSOP Paradise Super Main Event.
Sosia Jiang appeared for the first time following several cashes in Triton events, including an 8th place finish in the $500k WSOP Triton Million in Paradise Bahamas for $1,605,000.
Cherish Andrews (@CherishAndrews) continues to impress, and is one deep run away from joining the mix.
What’s in store for 2025?
