$2,000 In Non-Reported Add-ons Highlight Major Reporting Flaws
By Evert Caldwell, Staff
Rounder Report : In the following report we break down the May 18, 2019 session Mike Postle played on the Stones Live Poker Show. We previously listed Postle’s profit for this session at $3,200. After completing our hand by hand analysis we are now reporting his profit at $3,044. The $156 discrepancy has been updated to the chart (below).

Starting Stack
The first view of Postle’s stack is at the 24:23 mark when the Stones graphic shows “Apostle” with $850. Gump, John S., and Rounder all list Postle’s starting stack as $1,000.
The first discrepancy we note is at the 49:38 mark where Postle can be seen handing a chip-runner cash for non-reported add-on #1. *No add-ons or re-buys were reported in either Gumpnstein or John S.’ charts for this stream.
At 49:54 a clear view of Postle’s chip stack can be seen before the add-on is delivered.
At 51:32 a view of Postle’s chip stack shows a $1,000 increase (in green chips) from non-reported add-on #1.
The second discrepancy we note is at the 1:08:56 mark whe Postle can be seen handing cash to a chip-runner.
Postle hands the chip-runner cash at the start of a hand in which he holds A♦4♥. Although we do not see the actual delivery of chips, they ($1,000 in green) appear during the hand and are visible (below) at the 1:10:05 mark, as play continues.
Ending stack – Rounder reports Postle’s ending stack at $6,044. Stones and Gump list it at $6,100, and John S. has it at $6,200.
Although the starting and ending stacks listed are virtually identical, additional digital tracking issues are noted for hands #21, #24, #35, and #54 in our profit/loss tracking report. In hand #21 Rounder awards $199 to Postle after technical difficulties cut stream #1 short. Stones also added $200 to Postle’s digital stack at the start of stream #2. * To get an accurate starting chip count for stream #2, we moved forward to a visually identifiable stack size, then backtracked.

End of Report
The Stones graphical errors evened out for the most part in this session. However the $2,000 in non-reported add-ons by John S. (and Gump) once again highlight the inaccuracies of the win rate numbers still being presented to the public as factual. Once touted as irrefutable proof of Postle’s guilt, the flawed numbers are now just an inconvenient fact being brushed aside by many.
* The only google spreadsheet we’re aware of is Gumpnstein’s, which we previously reported included the following disclaimer :
If Miss Brill is referring to another google spreadsheet we will display it in an upcoming article, if a copy or link is provided.
In addition to playing in this stream, Bart Hanson interviewed John S. and Russ McGinley about the Postle win rate data chart they created shortly after the scandal broke, in an apparent effort to “dispel the argument it was inaccurate”. No mention was made of what would seem to have been an obvious fact to Hanson, that no re-buys were listed for Postle by John S. for the stream.
While we readily admit this could easily have been an oversight by Hanson, it may also be another example of the confirmation bias running rampant in this case. How else can it be explained, or TwoPlusTwo, which has over 1,400,000 views related to the scandal, still displaying bogus graphs (see below) as a reliable source ?

We want to make it clear that Rounder Life Media is not giving an opinion as to whether or not we believe Mike Postle is innocent of these very serious allegations. However, we stand by our reporting that the charts presented by John S., and Gumpnstein are “nowhere near accurate”. We are searching for the truth, and reporting facts not unsubstantiated conjecture.
