Martin County Sherriff’s deputies are seen arresting alleged would-be assassin Ryan Wesley Routh in a video released by the Martin County Sheriff’s Office.

Routh is charged with federal gun crimes including, but not limited to:

  • Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
  • Possession of a firearm with an obstructed serial number

A witness reported seeing Routh jump from the bushes and flee in a black Nissan after Secret Service personnel opened fire on him at the Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida, where former President Donald Trump was golfing on Sunday.

According to reports, the agent fired four shots at Routh – but missed, after spotting him with a gun near the 6th hole.

After the incident, Fox News’ Sean Hannity recapped the version of events relayed to him by Trump.

The Republican presidential nominee was not injured and by all accounts was in good spirits.

After learning everyone was ok, Trump joked about not being able to finish the hole.

“I had a birdie putt…”
